Thanks to the hard work of our members and the support of our donors, BHPS offers a number of fun and informative community events each summer. Here’s a review of some of the events of summer 2024.
Saturday, July 27
BHPS welcomed Bernard Fishman, Director of the Maine State Museum, for a talk on the importance of stereoviews in the recording of Maine history. 3-D glasses were included!

Thursday, August 1
The 6th annual Collectors’ Day returned to the Community Hall on August 1. Bayside residents and visitors–young and old–shared their collections with the community.

Sundays, June-August
Shady Grove, the BHPS Cottage Museum, on Pleasant Street, welcomed visitors every Sunday from 2-4pm.

All Summer!
Throughout the summer of 2024, BHPS hosted an exhibition of photographs, postcards, and ephemera from the BHPS collection in the downstairs meeting room at Community Hall.
